I stepped up to the plate and wrapped that Louisville Slugger in my hands like nobody’s business, then just as I was about to make that home run hit, an outfielder to left was still warming up and knocked me to the ground with a bright white baseball.
Something came out of the left field of the mail, but it felt more like a punch in the gut than a strike to the head.
I received a wonderful thing today–a graduation announcement! The kid will go on to great things, I’m sure. Very proud of him.
This is someone whose father wrong me this email on August 18, 2025:
In light of your recent email, we have reached a joint conclusion that you are an obstacle to our family’s wellbeing, and agreed together not to engage in further communication with you beyond this note.
Please do not reply to this email or otherwise attempt to contact any of us directly or indirectly. We will not respond.
All of us are in agreement as to this decision.
Now, I knew after I sent the email it would be the last one I would send and I would be getting an email like this.
I knew I was a stumbling block, and this is something I wanted to happen to help their family. We need that separation and suddenly I get something I’m not supposed to get.
Are they stupid?
