We all have those moments where we feel like nobody gets us or we’re a joke that’s gone over peoples’ heads.
With every career or drop out from school or painful experience I had, did no one ever think these were precious parts of my life that I would treasure? Why would you say, “This too shall pass,” when it’s part of a person’s history.
None of us have histories that could win a beauty pageant, just precious ones that teach us to be better, protect our hearts more, and love others as they need to be loved.

I got these stamps ages ago because I thought what these women did was brave, cool, and grateful they were finally being recognized.
When they came in, I realized I needed a cryptographer to break the code of me to my family.
I could tell them something a hundred times over, but they didn’t understand my intelligencen nor comprehend the situation.
It has always taken extreme measures on my part to educate people, “You need to trust me. I know what I am doing in this situation, you don’t. You have belittled me for one reason or another, and have no idea what you are talking about, just stereotypes.”
What’s funny is that no one ever asked me why I did what I did. If they knew, it would make sense to them.
Whenever I write a letter to my mother, I use one these cryptographer stamps and wonder if she understands the message:
Please, I am waiting for you to hear me. There is nothing to decode.
