The reason why I have not been able to blog recently is because I got very sick for most of December, then I started graduate school (online) to get my master’s degree in theology.
I know, I know. Why on earth would a person put themselves through that? Well, God told me to and it is something I have always wanted to do but was scared to, until I got a command from God to go.
I’m not in the master’s program yet because of my GPA from college. WARNING: YOU CANNOT STOP GOING TO A CLASS AND EXPECT THE PROFESSOR TO WITHDRAW YOU! Unfortunately, I did not know this warning, and I ended up with many really bad grades, despite making the Dean’s List in other semesters.
I am a “personal interest” student planning to head off to the master’s program in the next semester, assuming I pass philosophy. The first class I was required to take was philosophy, and, yes, my jaw did drop when I heard this news. The professor is brilliant beyond belief and the lectures are fascinating, though difficult.
Ah yes, the name of the school, how could I forget? I attend Holy Apostles College and Seminary, they are located in Cromwell, Connecticut.
My initial reason for choosing the school is because it is inexpensive, then I looked at their website and found so much more. The reason they are inexpensive is so people don’t come out with tremendous debt. Holy Apostles is also a very good school; they have many awards for their excellence.
My concentration is general studies so I can get a taste of everything. I am going so I can be a better writer. My novels tend to unconciously slant to the spiritual side, and I want to know more about theology so I can know more about that spiritual slant. Perhaps I was meant to write spiritual books instead of regular books. It is up to God and what He tells me to do.
I need the few people who read this to do me a favor. Could you please pray for me or send good vibes out to the universe if that is your thing? Not a long thing. Just, sincerely pray/wish, “Let Miriam succeed.”
That’s all I need. I believe in the power of prayer and the certainty of the Universe. Even if only one person sends good wishes in some way that will help. I don’t know how or when it will help, but it will help, I do know that.
