I started writing my fourth novel, and I had a great outline–it was perfect! Then, when I started writing it did a complete 180 and the story changed.
I had another fabulous critique night, assuming you’re using the word to mean large and bad. However, someone suggested I put a major event at the beginning and that really turned things around.
Where was I going? Not a darn clue. I write chapter to chapter. People say, “I can’t wait to see what comes next.” My response is, “Neither can I.”
I’m flying by the seat of my pants. Is that good? No clue at all.
Things seem to be going well, but my luck could run out at any moment. It’s different from what I’ve ever written. Even if it sucks at the end, I’m going to have a blast writing it.
