I’m Still Cranky

Sorry it’s been so long, but I’ve been very frustrated. Both casts they tried on my four broken toes fell off by themselves. Doesn’t that just sound fabulous! Sarcasm. My doctor said do not move, ordered me a wheelchair, the whole nine yards.

Here’s what really happened…I have a one-bedroom apartment, a wheelchair is pointless, so I canceled the order. I went into the hospital to see about nursing home care and had Physical Therapy. Because it was over Memorial Day weekend, I was in there longer than expected. At least my brother brought me some clothes and my laptop, so I could watch “Doctor Who” and “Sherlock” since I was really tired about listening to every station drone on about a former president.

When I got home a few days later, I went back to the ER to say that I needed to be placed in a nursing home. I am doing so much stuff on my foot that I shouldn’t, it’s ridiculous. (Let’s just keep that between you and me.) I was told that I probably wouldn’t be put in a nursing home because I had already been evaluated by Physical Therapy when I was in the hospital and deemed okay or whatever.

Now I have Home Health Care and Physical Therapy is part of it. The nurse was extremely nice and I’m sure the PT person will be very nice as well.

However, I’m still quite cranky.
