If you celebrate Easter, I hope you had a good Easter. If you don’t celebrate Easter, I hope you had a good Sunday.
Something unusual happened to me this Easter. I went to Mass. That may not seem like anything Earth shattering to you, but I am full of anxiety, which is why I don’t go. Every once in a while I will ask the priest to come to my apartment and give me communion plus hear my confession.
The last time I had a priest come out was for Ash Wednesday. I received communion, confession, and ashes.

The priest was happy I was at church and supported me all the way. Well, what else is a priest going to do, not support you?
I always sit in the back in case it’s too overwhelming and I need to duck out. I wondered why I didn’t duck out and why I wanted to go to church in the first place. It didn’t take me long to figure out it was When in Juarez.
The book has such a variety of things in it, from Jesus’ lineage to ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. I didn’t realize how spritual the book was until I read and reread it. What I liked is that it wasn’t a bang you on your head spirituality, it was a soft spirituality. That worked for me.
Maybe it will work for you too if you have lost your spirituality and need to find it again.
