About

A Girl’s Allowed to Vacillate

So, there’s another fabulous online writing conference from Writing Day Workshops (http://writingdayworkshops.com). You can also have an inexpensive ten-minute interview with a literary agent. So cool.

I am writing a memoir/creative nonfiction. I had a beautiful outline about the relationship I had with my superior in the convent. I got to the end of this six-page, single spaced outline when I realized it didn’t work.

With all of three weeks to go for me to say, “Pick me! This is what my story is about!” I realized people would probably be more interested in a memoir about my missionary time in Juarez, Mexico. The luck of the Irish was with me; I posted a blog every day I was there, so the book has practically written itself.

On top of everything, I’m not sure I can write a good proposal. I’m pretty sure I can say, “Thank you for your time anyway.”

Maybe with a little help from God, I’ll be able to do it.
