Hi. My name is Miriam Kavanagh, but please call me Miriam or if you are really upset with me, Miriam Judith. This is me with my cat Sherlock (a female) about five or six years ago, when I had finally graduated from college in 2019 from Western Kentucky University.

Sherlock is a smart cat, but I suppose every owner would brag about their pets. Sherlock does not knock things over like the typical cat does in cartoons, in fact she walks around things in a deliberate manner. I had staggered pictures on a bookshelf, and she just weaved her way through to get to where she needed to go. She also knows to stay in the crook of my arm while I am writing because I can write around her if she is in my arm like that.

I am a complete and total fan of Dave Matthews Band. I grew up near Charlottesville, Virginia, where they got their start. Their bassist, Stephan Lessard, was only 15 at the time. And now they have just been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

I am obsessed with the British sci-fi show Doctor Who. I won’t blather on about it, except to say that David Tennent, the 10th and 14th Doctors, is my favorite. Spot the two same doctors and you have spotted David Tennent, who is also known as a great Shakespearean actor, especially for his Hamlet.

Unfortunately, but not unfortunately, I will have to put my writing, except for the blog, on hold as I enter graduate school to get my MA in Humanities from California State University, Northridge.
