About

Hello Again

As you may have figured, it’s been a while since I’ve written a blog. Well, the truth is, I was abducted by aliens, a mind wipe was done, and I forgot I even had a blog.

This is either an exaggeration or a metaphor. Aliens could be professors because they are out of this world, a mind wipe could be clearing the cobwebs of what I previously knew to expanding it with even more, cool stuff.

Did anyone else know that graduate school keeps you busy? I am in the online master’s humanities program at California State University, Northridge (CSUN).

I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking, what the frick do you do with that degree? It can actually be used in every job because you are getting a charcuterie board of information–all different and all delectible.

As for me, I am going to use it to be a better novelist. It’s working, I wrote a good short story called, “The Drag Queen’s False Eyelashes.” While I know I could get it published in a magazine with just a few more tweaks, I am saving it for an anthology of short stories. As for now, I am focusing on a novel with the working title, A Boatman Called O.

**SPOLIER ALERT** It’s about a guy called O who is a boatman.

Currently, I am avoiding homework to bring to you news of a fellow cohort of mine who needs money to pay for her summer classes, an Ifa priest named Theresa Fair. Ifa is a fascinting religion and one of the oldest.
