A Reason To Remove A Post

The blog just before this was called, “An Obstacle To Our Family’s Wellbeing: A Long Story For Catharsis“. If you’ll notice, it’s no longer here.

It was the story of how I became so estranged from my sister, and I can no longer communicate with her. Chances are nobody from my family would have seen the blog, because I don’t think they read the blog. I don’t know how many of them even know I have this blog. I don’t take offense at that, I think it’s more funny than anything else. I don’t think they were told, which means the only way they would know about it would have been through my email signature.

All names in the email I removed were blacked out, pseudonyms when appropriate, no locations, or descriptions of things were given. I put no tags on it, so the only people who got it were those who subscribe and at least one person who somehow found it and put a like on it.

I wasn’t doing it for revenge, some may disagree and that’s fine, people could come up with other reasons too I’m sure and that’s fine also.

It was a topic that hadn’t been bothering me, I didn’t miss my sister or my nephew for some reason. The one thing I missed is that I would not be able to text my sister on her birthday to wish her a happy birthday.

It was only my mind because my birthday is coming up and my other sister told me to put up a gift registry on Amazon a few years ago. I did. I sent the link to the registry to everyone but the sister I am estranged with.

Talk about feeling strange.

I have decided that if I can’t send an email to the whole family, I won’t be sending it at all. She is my sister, for better or worse, it doesn’t matter that I can’t communicate with her.

If I am not communicating with her, I am not communicating with my family.

I figure that was a good reason to remove a post, no matter how gentle it was. It still may make someone look bad and there were no bad people in this situation. Everyone involved have fine hearts and are kind, but that day they were not themselves.

I saw the post. My first thought was your sister is going thru her domestic issues- and people will say and do anything when under stress..
Maybe because she couldn’t solve one problem, she asserted into a situation where she felt control..
The family will heal but it won’t be soon..

Not to talk politics- but isn’t your post a symbol of what’s happening in America?
So many layers of opinions, none of it we can affect, utilize…
We can’t control the Bipartisan Upper Crust – so we turn on each other.

    1. The politics part is interesting, I never thought of that–we both think the same politically.

She was protecting the most precious thing on Earth to her, plus sometimes depression can present itself as anger, so maybe that’s what was going on?

I don’t know what’s in another person’s head or heart, and it’s not my job to even guess or judge. I knew what was coming and it was exactly what needed to come. Perhaps it will get talked about one day but not for a few years, now all I can do is follow what is respected. Maybe I’ll even ask her a year to the day. I don’t know what the future holds.
