Chapter Six

I cannot believe the last time I posted was on September 29, I am so sorry to the few readers I have. Very rude of me.

So, chapter six, chapter six, chapter six. Where do I begin? No, seriously where do I begin? It’s only 2,048 words, which is the equivalent of about seven pages, double spaced in 12 point Times New Roman font. The chapter needs to be over twice that word count and get up to 24 pages, at least. I mean c’mon what am I writing here, a kid’s book?

What gets in the way? Oh, is that a question. Well, I edited other people’s stuff, made the mistake of checking old email accounts, kept fiddling with my budgets like I had OCD, and got caught in the Facebook trap, plus I was in the hospital for a few days. And, on top of that, the sun fell over the laptop and I couldn’t see the screen (okay, that’s a lame one as I can just close the blinds).

In addition, I changed the location of where the book is set to the University of Chicago and UChicago Hospital, and I am waiting to hear back from resources about those places. I may just have to make it up, have it be wrong, have people complain. No, I don’t think so. I already have something in there that is probably wrong.

I love where this book is going, but chapter six is giving me h-e-double hockey sticks. Actually, after looking over this post, it’s not the book giving me a hard time, it sounds like I’m the one making trouble for myself. I think I have avoidance issues. I still need to put my clean laundry from a week ago away, instead of treating my laundry basket like a drawer–avoidance issue.

Oh well, you learn something about your mental health issues everyday. That’s the saying, isn’t it?
