On April 8, 2024 we had a total solar eclipse that ran through Mexico, Ohio, Virginia, even up to some parts of Canada. I was in Indian Lake, Ohio viewing the solar eclipse with my family, including an astronomer who used to work for NASA.
Cloudy weather was predicted but that wasn’t what the Universe had in mind.

The moon is bustling over the sun.
Getting there…
Totality is seconds from happening. It got darker and the temperature dropped about 10 degrees.
What was truly remarkable is that the sun looked like it was a veil for the moon because of the way the narrow circle surrounded the black projecting the moon. Then, of course, there was a diamond on the moon that was present for just a few seconds which was stunning. Two planets, Venus and Jupiter, came for the show.
